Reaching the city of Tonk
Though Tonk is well connected by road, it does not have a railway station and an airport. While Isharda railway station is about 41 km from here, the nearest Jaipur airport is 88 km. The Tonk district, of which the town of the same name is its headquarters, has a total area of 7194 square metres. As per the 2011 Census, population of Tonk town was 14,21,711. Ratio of males and females here is about 52:48. In 2001, 18% of this population was under 6 years of age.
